Sherri Rogers started working in VFX in 2004. After studying Fine Art at the University of Alberta, Sherri moved to Toronto and graduated with honors from the Computer Animation program at Sheridan College. She then traveled to Vancouver, moving through roles as 3D generalist, Look Dev Artist and as a Lighting TD on shows including Battlestar Gallactica, Jon Carter of Mars and Gnomeo & Juliet.
In 2010, Sherri beta tested a new piece of software called MARI and has specialized as a Texture Artist ever since. She paints organic and hard surface environments, working closely with the Art Department to translate 2D conceptual art into 3D props and buildings. Most recently, Sherri has worked on the environmental texture team for Ghostbusters, Wonder Woman, Angry Birds and Smurfs: The Lost Village.
Sherri also works as a teacher mentor at the Vancouver Film School where she offers feedback to students entering the VFX or Animation industry, and encourages professional development by providing constructive criticism and software training.
